Dr. Suzanne Shelburne is from the New River Valley and was a high school social studies teacher for many years. She graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2022 with a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. Suzanne supervised preservice teachers in their field placements while pursuing her degree. After graduation, she worked in the Student Success Center and taught UNIV 1004: College Success Strategies. Suzanne joined Career and Professional Development in May 2023. She enjoys getting to know students and supporting them in their career journey. In her free time, Suzanne reads mysteries, plays online trivia games, and binge-watches shows. She has two dogs and would love to hear about your pets.
