Alyssa Henderson

Assistant Director, Career Development and College Relations

Originally from Minnesota, Alyssa joined the Career and Professional Development team in August 2021. As a former undeclared student, Alyssa enjoys guiding students through the career exploration process, from self-reflection to discovering future possibilities. Alyssa completed her master’s in Higher Education Administration at Kent State University where she instructed a Major and Career Exploration course for all levels of students. Prior to graduate school, Alyssa worked as a Recruitment Coordinator for both full-time and internship positions with Northwestern Mutual in the Twin Cities, as well as completed two semesters of the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World in Florida. Alyssa looks forward to getting to know the exceptional students of Virginia Tech, fostering campus partnerships, and mentoring CPD’s amazing Peer Career Advisors.
