Kayla Branson
Kayla is a proud Virginia Tech alumna, class of 2017. As a first-generation graduate, she received a B.S. in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management with a major in Fashion Merchandising and Design. During her undergraduate experience, she was involved with Chi Omega and the Fashion Merchandising and Design Society. Kayla rejoined the Career and Professional Development team in July 2019, after having worked as a Peer Career Advisor in the office from 2014 to 2017, where she was able to both advise students and coordinate the Career Outfitters program. As part of the Professional Development and Experiential Programs team, Kayla has continued her work with the Career Outfitters program, while also serving as the Instructor for the Cooperative Education and Internship Program (CEIP) and Liaison to First-Generation Student Success. She has a passion for working with students and enjoys helping them discover what they are passionate about, while supporting them through their professional growth and work-integrated learning experiences. Kayla continues to volunteer her time as an advisor for Virginia Tech's chapter of Chi Omega, and as Vice President of Blacksburg Young Professionals. When she is out of the office, she enjoys spending time on her side-hustle of fashion styling and event planning, exploring Blacksburg and the New River Valley, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, listening to live music, visiting the Blacksburg Farmers Market, reading, watching movies and tv series, and supporting the HOKIES!
