Meredith Gerber
Originally from Virginia, Meredith returned to her home state to join the Career and Professional Development team in 2019. Currently she leads a team of five advisors who serve students in their first two years at Virgina Tech, any student exploring career options, graduate students, and underserved and underrepresented students to increase access to career development and meaningful work opportunities. Additionally, the Career Exploration and Access team provides career education training, tools, and resources for our broader campus community to support and empower faculty and staff to confidently share in the Career Everywhere mission.
Prior to her role at Virginia Tech, she worked in career development and/or academic advising at Washington and Lee University, Bloomsburg University, and College of Charleston. She has enjoyed assisting students in identifying, exploring, and planning to reach their academic and career goals for the last 20 years. She continues to be energized by working with students individually, excitedly learning each of their stories, and by working with campus partners to create quality career development programs for students.
