Meredith Gerber

Assistant Director

Originally from Virginia, Meredith returned to her home state to join the Career and Professional Development team in 2019.  Prior to her role at Virginia Tech, she worked in career development and/or academic advising at Washington and Lee University, Bloomsburg University, and College of Charleston. She has enjoyed assisting students in identifying, exploring, and planning to reach their academic and career goals for the last 20 years. She continues to be energized by working with students individually, excitedly learning each of their stories, and by working with faculty and other campus partners to create quality career development programs for students. Through one-on-one advising and/or presentations, Meredith is available to assist students with career and major exploration, self-assessments, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, internship/co-op search, navigating the job search process, networking skills, and much more.
