Annie Laib Jenkins

Assistant Director, Health Professions Advising

Originally from Lorton, Virginia, Annie joined the Career and Professional Development team in September 2019.  Annie is a proud Virginia Tech alumna; she received dual B.S. degrees in Psychology and Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech and later an M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Maryland.  Prior to her role in Career and Professional Development, Annie worked with the School of Neuroscience at Virginia Tech.  In this role, she enjoyed serving many pre-health students through both their academic and pre-professional journeys.  Annie is passionate about working with pre-health students and can assist with health profession exploration, preparation, and application processes.

  • Advise students and alumni regarding pursuing careers in the health care professions
  • Assist students with application process for admission to professional schools
