Anya joined Career and Professional Development in July 2022. Originally from New Orleans, Anya obtained her bachelor's degrees in English and Art History from Hollins University. While working in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Academic Programs Office at Virginia Tech, Anya obtained her master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs, and is currently working on her doctorate in Higher Education. For nine years prior to joining CPD, Anya has supported students as a tutor coordinator, instructor, academic advisor, and academic coach at Virginia Tech and Western Carolina University. She enjoys getting to know the students she works with, learning about their experiences and what motivates them as they navigate all things career and professional development. In her free time, Anya enjoys hiking, roller skating, and traveling.
