- The Clinical Nurse Leader Program (direct entry) at the University of Virginia School of Nursing offers guaranteed admission to graduates (bachelor's or master's degrees) of Virginia state-funded schools (State Council of Higher Education for Virginia) and Military Service Academies (U.S. Dept. of Defense), who meet minimum admission requirements.

Guaranteed Admission Opportunity Requirements
Applicants must:
- Obtain a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree at Virginia Tech or another Virginia Public College or University or Military Academy.
- Graduate with a 3.2 GPA or higher in a Bachelor’s or Master's of Science degree program. GPA will be determined as cumulative GPA from the most recent Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree earned.
- Submit all components of a completed application, and meet all admission requirements, as explained by the Direct Entry Clinical Nurse Leader Program at the University of Virginia School of Nursing.
- Earn a grade of B- or higher in each of the prerequisite courses within five years of matriculation.
- Complete the prerequisite coursework at Virginia Tech or any other regionally accredited institution.
