Welcome to the Faculty/Staff Community!

Career and Professional Development (CPD) exists to support Virginia Tech students and new graduates. We collaborate with faculty and staff toward our shared goal of supporting Virginia Tech students in their process of career exploration and professional development. We work with students from first year undergraduate through graduate level.

  • F/S iris photo booth appointments will be available Monday, May 19 – Friday, August 22.
  • Appointment blocks are 15 minutes each, and available from 8:00am – 12:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Presentations could be in-person, via Zoom, or pre-recorded. After you complete the presentation request form, if an advisor is available to accept the request, you and the advisor can discuss the details.

These are activities and modules for students you can incorporate at any time into your classes, workshops, or resource hub. No training is required for use. Unlimited use for Virginia Tech faculty and staff.


Campus internEXP is an on-campus internship program where we aim to utilize the variety of job functions and amazing professionals that work right here on campus to create accessible, paid internships for our students.

iGROW@Virginia Tech

The iGROW program supports guided reflection on work for Virginia Tech employees, including faculty, staff, and graduate assistants, who supervise both undergraduate and graduate students in paid or unpaid positions.


Career Champions

Training program for Virginia Tech faculty and staff, recognizing the importance of the many career-related conversations you have with students. The programs allows CPD to share tools and referral resources so you can feel more confident engaging on career subjects with students. Open to any full-time or part-time employee on any Virginia Tech campus.

Cooperative Education and Internship Program (CEIP)

CEIP is a work-based experiential learning program for undergraduate students to gain practical, career-related experience through off-campus co-op and internship opportunities. Students may enroll in part-time or full-time work options which will be noted on their official transcript.
