Guaranteed Admission Opportunity Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Obtain a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree at Virginia Tech or another Virginia Public College or University or Military Academy.
  • Graduate with a 3.5 GPA or higher (this is a change for 2026) in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree program. GPA will be determined as cumulative GPA from the most recent Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree earned.
  • Submit all components of a completed application, and meet all admission requirements, as explained by the Direct Entry Clinical Nurse Leader Program at the University of Virginia School of Nursing.
  • Earn a grade of B- or higher in each of the prerequisite courses within five years of matriculation.
  • Complete the prerequisite coursework at Virginia Tech or any other regionally accredited institution.
