Hiring interns, co-op students, and other early talent can be challenging — every university has its own timelines, processes, and expectations. At Virginia Tech, we want to make your recruiting experience as smooth and effective as possible.

The Hokie™ Hire Hour is a monthly, informal virtual meetup designed for employers and recruiters interested in hiring Hokies. Each session is hosted by representatives from Career and Professional Development (CPD) and provides an open forum to ask questions, share experiences, and learn more about recruiting at Virginia Tech.

Whether you’re new to recruiting Hokies or a long-standing campus partner, this is your opportunity to:

• Gain insider insights into Virginia Tech recruiting practices.
• Explore experiential learning, career fairs, and student engagement opportunities.
• Connect directly with CPD staff and other employer partners.
• Stay current on upcoming events, programs, and best practices.

Format

• Hosted once per month on Zoom — no set agenda, just conversation.
• Come for the full hour or drop in as your schedule allows.
• Sessions are not recorded, encouraging open dialogue and authentic discussion.

Recruiters, hiring managers, and university relations representatives who are interested in hiring Virginia Tech students or strengthening their engagement on campus.
