Career and Professional Development is excited to announce our Supervisor Workshop series for Fall 2025.
Join Career and Professional Development to strengthen your supervisory skills and gain valuable tools for effectively managing and supporting student employees!
This series is designed to help you engage with and support your student employees effectively. Below is a brief overview of the upcoming workshops:
- Workshop #1: Foundations of Supervision:
- Focus: In partnership with talent development, learn practical strategies to create positive and impactful student employment experiences through effective supervision, communication, and mentorship.
- Date: Wed, Sept 16 | Time: 1pm-2pm
- Location: Held at the Smith Career Center (870 Washington St SW)
- Workshop #2: Creating Inclusive Student Employment Experiences:
- Focus: In partnership with the Graduate School and Cranwell International Center, discover strategies to develop the knowledge and skills to create inclusive student employment experiences that support the success of diverse student employee populations through an interactive discussion and case studies.
- Date: Tues, Oct 27th | Time: 1pm-2pm
- Location: Held virtually
- Workshop #3: Helping Students Build Career Ready Skills:
- Focus: Boost your ability as a supervisor to intentionally design and support student employment experiences that foster career readiness and transferable skill development.
- Date: Wed, Nov 11th 11am – 12pm
- Location: Held at the Smith Career Center (870 Washington St SW)
