The AccessComputing REU program places computing students with disabilities in computing research projects at colleges and universities. AccessComputing has funding for REUs where students are directly involved with computing research in a university. This allowed students who are considering graduate school to learn more about the research process and make them more competitive applicants for graduate school.

The AAPD Summer Internship Program advances participants’ career opportunities, deepens their leadership skills, and meaningfully connects them with the broader disability community. They have placed students and recent graduates with all types of disabilities in paid summer internships with Congressional offices, federal agencies, nonprofit and for-profit organizations within the Washington, D.C. area.

Entry Point! is the signature program of the AAAS Project on Science, Technology, and Disability. It was designed to increase diversity of the science and engineering workforce by involving students and scientists with disabilities throughout all STEM education and career pathways. This program aims to encourage and develop talent among undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing a STEM career.

The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) connects federal and private sector employers to eligible students and recent graduates with disabilities, and serves as the primary pipeline for bringing new hires into the federal government.
