HPEC timeline and deadlines for students

HPEC timeline for 2025-2026 academic year, for students who wish to apply to professional school during 2026, to matriculate in fall 2027:

Mon. October 13, 2025, 9:00am ET	HPEC Portal opens. Request to join the HPA Hub on Canvas to gain access. All details are explained there.
October – December 2025	Prepare HPEC materials: – Write, review and edit your resume and personal statement. – Seek permission from individuals you wish to serve as assessors to complete an assessment form about you. Please note that your assessment form will only be used as part of our committee letter process and composition, and will not be forwarded to any health professional schools.
October 2025 – January 2026	Meet with HPA advisors to review materials and go over advising questionnaire and/or competencies. See HPA advising and how to schedule.
Thur. December 11, 2025, 9:00am ET	HPEC Application + Document Section open.
Mon. December 15, 2025, 2:30-4:00pm ET	HPEC Application workshop: critique materials. See HPA events (Make your application shine workshop) for details. (same offered in January; see below.)
Fri. December 19, 2025 (3:00 pm ET) – Mon. January 5, 2026 (8:00 am ET)	HPEC Portal will be temporarily paused during the university closure. Please continue to work on materials to later input into the platform.
Thurs. January 22, 2026, 4:00pm-5:30pm ET	HPEC Application workshop: critique materials. See HPA events (Make your application shine workshop) for details. (same offered in December; see above.)
Fr. January 30, 2026, 5:00pm ET	HPEC Portal (Assessment and Application) closes. This is the deadline for submission of all materials by applicants. This is the deadline for submission of 2-5 assessments by assessors.
February 2026	Selected students and alumni are notified, and are permitted to select an interview date. *Note that HPEC is not a competitive process. Students who meet the eligibility criteria, complete/submit the application by the deadline, submit all required materials on time, and receive the minimum number of completed assessment forms, will be permitted to move forward.
Tues. February 10, 2026, 9:00am ET	Secondary Applications become available via HPEC Portal.
Fr. March 6, 2026, 4:00pm ET	Secondary Applications due. HPEC Portal (Secondary Application) closes.
Wed. March 18, to Fr. May 1, 2026	HPEC interviews.
May 2026	Committee letters written.
June 2026	Request committee letter.
