The Role
Attention is earned one frame at a time.
This is not a role where you wait for a content calendar, add subtitles to finished videos, and export whatever someone else imagined.
You will work directly with the founders and growth team to develop, edit, publish, and improve content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and LinkedIn.
You are half video editor, half internet-native creative.
Your job is to turn Skarmy’s product, mission, founders, and culture into content people cannot scroll past.
What You Will Own
Short-form content engine. Create a consistent system for producing high-quality videos every week, from the initial hook to the final export.
Creative ideation. Develop original concepts, formats, series, scripts, memes, product demos, founder content, and campaigns.
Video editing. Turn raw footage, screen recordings, interviews, trends, and ideas into polished, fast-paced content.
Rapid iteration. Create multiple hooks, openings, captions, cuts, and versions. Learn from performance and continuously improve.
Trend translation. Identify emerging formats, sounds, conversations, and cultural moments, then adapt them to Skarmy without making the brand feel forced.
Product storytelling. Make AI agents and company-building workflows feel simple, exciting, and understandable.
Social publishing. Help manage Skarmy’s social accounts, posting cadence, captions, thumbnails, community responses, and content calendar.
Performance analysis. Study watch time, retention, shares, saves, comments, and conversions to understand what earns attention.
Brand development. Help establish Skarmy’s visual language and creative identity across every platform.
What We Are Looking For
- You are creative and constantly generating new content ideas.
- You can edit and iterate quickly without sacrificing taste.
- You deeply understand short-form content, social media trends, and what drives engagement.
- You can make strong creative decisions with minimal direction.
- You understand hooks, pacing, retention, storytelling, sound design, captions, and visual rhythm.
- You are comfortable receiving direct feedback and producing new versions quickly.
- You have a strong portfolio or examples of previous work.
- You move quickly and prefer publishing, learning, and improving over endlessly polishing.
- You have high agency. When you see an opportunity, you act on it.
- You are obsessive about details but understand when speed matters more than perfection.

- You have created viral content in any niche.
- You have grown social media accounts or built online audiences.
- You have experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- You can shoot high-quality content using a phone or camera.
- You understand motion graphics, animation, color grading, or sound design.
- You are comfortable appearing on camera or directing other people.
- You have created content for startups, technology companies, creators, or founders.
- You understand AI tools and use them to accelerate your creative process.
We work five to six days a week from our San Francisco office. One of those days is social time: we go out, attend concerts, eat KBBQ, decompress, and remember that we are humans. The rest of the time, we are building.
