Narrative PR is looking for an exceptional assistant to join its Los Angeles team on groundbreaking work for the world’s most influential filmmakers, actors, and production companies. The ideal candidate understands the entertainment/media landscape and is able to multi-task under breaking deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset to stay one step ahead of all outcomes. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, have the ability to keep up with a fast-paced office, and remain composed in high-pressure environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist publicist with day to day administrative tasks, including scheduling, calendar management, note-taking, expense reports, phone and email correspondence.
  • Coordinate client logistics for press events, interviews, segments, red carpet appearances, and photo shoots.
  • Create and maintain client schedules.
  • Maintain digital press kits, including client bios.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile daily/weekly media clippings reports and service clients with digital breaks.
  • Draft memos for approval by senior team members.
  • Process client requests in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with counterparts in both New York and Los Angeles.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • An interest in the entertainment industry or prior experience working with a studio/agency/media company (internships included).
  • A creative, solution-oriented thinker and a multitasker who can meet deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of maintaining complete confidentiality around Client information and schedules.
  • Extremely well-organized and able to work in a supremely fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive nature that is focused, sharp, resilient, and has a hard-working spirit.
  • Grace and tenacity under pressure with a positive-minded, ”can do” attitude.
  • Motivated, resourceful, able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • The ideal candidate will stay in this role for a few years before wanting to grow, though being mentored is very much part of the positioning and there is potential for growth from within.
  • Must be in Los Angeles and be able to work in the office Monday through Friday.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO START IN LOS ANGELES IMMEDIATELY OR WITH TWO WEEKS NOTICE

SALARY/BENEFITS

  • $20-22/hour, eligible for overtime
