Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Specialist- Change Management (Contractor) to support the Change Management team in delivering clear, consistent, and engaging communications related to strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and organizational change efforts. This role plays a vital part in aligning messaging with change strategy, ensuring employee engagement, and driving awareness and adoption across impacted stakeholder group
Key Responsibilities:
Develop communication plans that clarify changes and drive employee engagement
Work with Change Management leads to create strategies supporting business transformation
Write and edit emails, FAQs, presentations, and other content for various audiences
Simplify complex changes into clear messages tailored to specific audiences
Follow organizational tone and style guidelines
Manage communication schedules and timely message delivery
Collaborate with project teams to understand goals and audience needs
Measure communication effectiveness and adjust approaches as needed
Support change readiness through training communications and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field
3-5 years experience in internal or change communications
Excellent writing and storytelling skills
Experience with change or transformation projects
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
Experience in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of communication tools (SharePoint, Teams, Canva, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills at all organizational levels
Preferred:
- Prosci or other Change Management certification is a plus.
- Experience in [industry, e.g., retail, healthcare, manufacturing, technology].
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Jira, Asana).
