The 2018-2019 On-Campus Interviewing [OCI] program runs for nine weeks in fall semester and seven weeks in spring semester. Participating enables you to plan in advance to interview in our comfortable facilities and meet with many students during one campus visit. You may interview for internships, cooperative education positions, field studies, and for post-graduation positions for graduating students.

If you have questions not addressed here, please contact our employer relations staff.

  • Fall semester: Nine weeks; late September to mid November.
  • Spring semester: Seven weeks; late January to late March.
  • See the dates and deadlines for more detail.
  • Limited off-season interviewing may also be arranged for special circumstances through our room-only / informal program, described below.
  • Reservations begin approximately 10 months before interviews begin, starting in early December for the next academic year. Interview space is limited and may fill quickly. However, even in summer you can still contact us about fall recruiting dates.
  • To schedule a date(s):
    • Request interviewing dates through Handshake. If this is your first visit to Handshake, select "Sign up for an Account" under the yellow logo.
    • Or contact our employer relations staff to discuss available dates.
  • Your request will be reviewed, and you will receive a Handshake email confirming your date(s).
  • If you did not attach a job when you requested your interview date, you will be prompted by email from Handshake to do so.
  • Interview dates and employers' jobs are publicized to students through Handshake.
  • You also have the option to schedule an information session in connection with your interview date. These are also publicized to students through Handshake.
  • Options to fill interview schedules are:
    • Pre-select only: You select students and alternates to fill interview slots.
    • Open sign-up only: You don't select students in advance. Qualified students may sign up.
    • Combo: If you opt for pre-select and your schedule does not fill, you may contact us to add open sign up.
  • There are deadlines for the students and for you. See OCI dates and deadlines to find the specific deadlines.
  • First interviews begin at 8:30 a.m., and last interviews of the day end at 4:30 p.m.
  • Interviews are conducted one-on-one, employer to student, in Career and Professional Development interview rooms in Smith Career Center.
  • If you would like to do any of the following:
    • Visit on shorter notice.
    • Interview on dates outside the scheduled interview weeks.
    • Fill your interview schedule with students on your own timeline.
    • Select students from other sources (career fair, meeting with student club, etc.)
  • Contact our employer relations staff to arrange scheduling a "room only," and we can assist you with the details.
