Amy McPherson

Senior Director for Career and Professional Development

Amy joined Career and Professional Development in 1993 and has served in a variety of roles during her time in the office. Her professional roots are in career advising and working with students to explore their interests, goals, and opportunities for the future. Amy has served in liaison roles with the Graduate School and with the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, and has served as Senior Associate Director, with leadership and administrative responsibility for the student services function within Career and Professional Development. Her opportunities to meet individually with students are more limited these days, but she loves every chance she gets to meet a new student, hear a new life story or dream, and help students refine the skills they will need to be successful in their professional endeavors.
