Founded in 2009 by two Europeans (one Swedish, one French) with years of global work experiences from Sweden, France, China, Cambodia, Thailand and Japan, to help students to develop a global mindset and give them a chance to gain international work experience.
For college students who are fluent in English. Organization is based in Hong Kong. Destinations are major cities in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Australia.

Founded in 1958.

AIPT founded in 1950.

IAESTE: International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience
Founded in 1948.
Paid internships abroad for U.S. university students majoring in technical fields. Most internships are for 8-12 weeks during summar, but fall and longer-term are also available. Application period is October to early Jan for upcoming summer.

iHipo.com = International High Potential network
Founding date not stated in "about us" section.
Was based in Singapore; currently (2012) based in Sweden.

International Cooperative Education (ICE).com
Founded 1971.
Paid internships in Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. Wide variety of opportunities for students in a wide variety of majors.
The program founder offered information sessions at Virginia Tech in Nov. 2008 and Feb. 2009. (If future info sessions are held, they'll be posted in events; search on the ICE program name.)

International Student Volunteers, Inc. (isvolunteers.org)
Established approximately 1983.
Non-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes. 12 offices in six continents. Sends students from around the world to six continents for volunteer/adventure experiences. Purpose to combine conservation, education, community development, recreation for participants who desire to make a difference. Academic credit possible; responsibility of student to seek approval from your department. Fees cover lodging, meals, etc., detailed in brochure (pdf).
